According to a UAE cabinet resolution in July 2018, children under the age of 18 traveling from July 15 to September 15 each year with an accompanying adult can get a free tourist visa in the UAE. Eligibility for a free visa for children is applicable for children traveling with their parents, and at least one of the parents (mother or father) should apply for a tourist visa.
Overstay Fines on UAE Tourist Visa
We have explained the validity of entry and duration of stay for each category of tourist visa. If a tourist or visitor overstays beyond the validity of their visa, an overstay fine will be applicable. Overstay fines can be paid at the fine payment desk located in the departure area of the airport or by visiting the nearest AMER center. The fine for overstaying on a tourist or an employment visa is 241.00 AED for the first day (out-pass charges) and AED 50.00 for each consecutive day. Fine amounts can be checked online through the ICA smart e-channel. The visa sponsor has the right to file an "absconding" case for overstaying passengers without any warning.
