The UAE government issues several types of visas and entry permits based on the requirements of the visitor. GCC residents (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Oman) have freedom of movement by applying for an online e-visa through the GCC resident’s visa portal. All UAE visas are issued by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in the United Arab Emirates. The official currency of the United Arab Emirates is Dirhams. Below are the available visa types:


48-Hour Dubai Transit Visa

A single-entry UAE transit visa issued by airlines and travel agencies based in the UAE for transit passengers. Recommended for visitors having a transit stopover or terminal change. Processing time is 3 to 4 working days, or as per airline policy. Entry validity is 30 days after visa issuance, with a 48-hour stay.


96-Hour Dubai Transit Visa

A single-entry UAE transit visa issued for transit passengers by UAE-based airlines and travel agencies. Recommended for visitors to the UAE with a plan for a maximum of 4 days in the country. Processing time is 3 to 4 working days. Entry validity is 30 days after visa issuance, with a 96-hour stay.


7-Day Dubai Package Visa

A single-entry UAE holiday package visa issued by tour agencies when you book a holiday package. Recommended for visitors planning a maximum of a 7-day stay. Processing time is 3–4 working days, with a 58-day entry validity to enter the country.


14-Day Dubai Service Visa

A single-entry transit visa issued for some specific countries where a tourist visa is difficult to get approved. Recommended for specific countries, like the Central African Republic, Somalia, etc. Processing time is 3 to 4 working days. Entry validity is 14 days from the visa print date.


14-Day Dubai Tourist Visa

A single-entry UAE tourist visa issued for tourism purposes, business meetings, or to attend events and seminars in the country. Processing time is 3 to 4 working days. The entry validity is 58 days from the date of visa issue, and the duration of stay is 14 days. This is a variation of a short-term tourist visa.


30-Day Dubai Tourist Visa

The most popular single-entry visa applied for by all nationalities for tourism and meeting family members. Processing time is 3 to 4 working days, or as per immigration policy. Entry validity is 60 days, with a stay duration of 30 days.


30-Day Dubai Multi Entry Visa

For frequent travelers, a multiple-entry visa with a validity of 30 days for multiple entries into the UAE. Processing time is 3 to 4 working days. Entry validity is 60 days from the date of visa issuance, and the duration of stay is 30 days with multi-entry.


60-Day Dubai Tourist Visa

Issued from Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Dubai Immigration for outside and inside visitors. Processing time is 3 to 4 working days, or as per immigration policy. Entry validity is 60 days from the date of visa print date, and the duration of stay is 60 days maximum.


60-Day Dubai Multi-Entry Visa

A 60-day UAE tourist visa introduced as of October 3, 2022. Valid to enter within 58 days from the date of the visa's print date. Perfect for entering and exiting the UAE multiple times within the validity of the visa.


90-Day Dubai Tourist Visa

A popular single-entry visa for 3 months applied by all nationalities. Recommended for family visits, job searches, and longer stays. Processing time is 3 to 4 working days. Entry validity is 60 days from the date of visa issuance, with a 90-day stay.


90-Day Dubai Visit Visa

Eligible UAE residents can apply for a 90-day Dubai visit visa or leisure visa from the AMER typing center in Dubai. A security deposit is required at immigration, refundable after the visitor's exit. More details can be obtained by visiting the AMER Center.


Minors Visit Visas in the UAE

Parents with UAE residency visas requiring a tourist visa for an underage minor can apply for a visit visa by submitting the minor’s passport copy, child photograph, birth certificate, and their own passport copy with a stamped residence visa page and Emirates ID through the AMER center in Dubai. The process for a child tourist visa in the UAE takes 3–7 working days.
